Last nights run wasn't good. I had to wait for Adam to get home from the gym and then right before I went to leave I found a puddle of water in the basement (which we still don't know where it came from?!). By the time I left it was after 10:00pm. So it was nice and dark out, plus it poured buckets about an hour before I left so there was nice giant puddles everywhere. I couldn't see anything because only a few streets in my neighborhood have street lights and most of them are burned out (way to go, L-Town). People don't really turn on their porch lights, either. When I was running I knew I was being overly cautious with my steps, I didn't want to trip or slip in a puddle since I couldn't see. Well, I didn't trip but I definitely slipped in a puddle during my 3rd mile. I probably should have stopped after that happened because my legs didn't feel so great after that. My 4th mile was extremely slow going for me and it was painful. I was afraid if I started to walk I might not make it home so I pushed through it. When I got home I sat on the floor in front of the fridge with ice packs on my legs. After I showered I put on my compression socks that I bought when I was enormously pregnant for my swollen feet. My legs felt better with them on so I decided to attempt to sleep in them. I NEVER sleep in socks. I HATE socks, I can't stand them. I don't wear them unless I have to but as soon as I get home I take them off. Anyway, when I got up this morning my legs felt better than they did yesterday. I took the socks off right when I woke up. :oP I might take today off, I haven't decided yet. I can tell you that I'm never running at night after a rainfall ever again. I should avoid running at night anyway since my neighborhood is so freakin' dark! I'm frustrated about my legs. Really freaking frustrated. Anyway, here's last nights info:
