I'm baaaaaaaAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaack! I haven't posted in over a year...a lot has happened since my last post! I had my daughter, Adalynn on June 7, 2012. I've lost 65.6 lbs since that day. I had gained 52 lbs while pregnant and I lost all of that weight in 4 months. It's taken me a while but I've lost an additional 14 lbs. I'm damn proud of myself. It's been really hard...and sure, I fell off the wagon a few times but I'm more dedicated than ever. I am registered to run in my first half marathon on October 20. I started my training this week, which is why I wanted to start writing in here again. I feel that if I write about everything that I've accomplished so far it will help keep me motivated when I go back and read what I've done. I'm loosely following one of Hal Higdon's half marathon training plans.

Rest Day! I took Adalynn for a walk and we went to the park.
I've taken Adalynn with me on all of my runs this week. It has slowed my time some, but she really enjoys being in the jogging stroller and being outside in general and I enjoy having her with me. She laughs when other people run or bike by us, it's so funny! She's one of the main reasons I'm doing all of this. I want to be fit and healthy so I'm here for her for a long time. And on that note, she just woke up from her nap! Peace out, people!
You go girl!
ReplyDeletePS That is a good plan! Now if only I could get M to stick to the plan!
ReplyDeleteIt is so much easier if you have a set schedule! I printed off a copy of Hal Higdon's half marathon training schedule and it tells you how many miles to run on what days and when to rest. It's on the fridge so I see it constantly and am reminded of what I need to do. :o) Are you guys still planning on doing the full?
