I woke up early today so I could get my run done before 11am. It's starting to get hot and humid here in Texas. When I started my 7 miler this morning the humidity was at 92%! It was like running trough a sauna. Yuck! At the end of my run it had gone down to 72% but was 80 degrees. I went to the local park that I like, it has a lot of shade from tree coverage. But holy crap, the bugs there are HUGE!!! I almost stepped on the biggest spider I have ever seen. It's ass was the size of an acorn...it was disgusting! I actually turned around and ran in the opposite direction because of that sucker. I saw a handful of other spiders but thankfully they weren't as large. I saw bees, wasps, a million rolly pollies, butterflies, caterpillars, birds, squirrels...there's so many things to look at, I love that park. There was a lot of people out there this morning. Walkers, runners, bikers...people having a family photoshoot. I felt pretty good aside from a small pain in my right leg. I'm hoping my foam roller will take care of it. Miles 5 and 6 were a little rough for me. I'm not sure why, my breathing never got out of control or anything but my legs felt like lead. Mile 7 was a little better. :o) I was hoping to finish in 1 hr and 10 minutes but I missed that goal by 53 seconds. Oh well, there's always next time! :o)
