Yay for 2012!

I'm really glad that 2011 is over.  There were plenty of ups and downs, but I'm hoping that this year has more ups.  ;o)  January 2011 my twin brother moved to Dallas, TX.  That was really hard on the whole family, we miss having him around.  He moved down there to find a police department to work for.  It took him until Spring but he got hired on and went through the police academy and just graduated in December.  We're all so proud of him!  Right after Ryan moved to Dallas our mom was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma.  It's a rare type of cancer that's in the blood.  Mom was a trooper and she has completed chemo, she just has to have maintenance chemo every 3 months for the next 2 years.  Her hair is growing back and she sometimes goes out without her wig on.  :o)  I'm proud of her, that's big for my mom!

Last year I got to attend two weddings.  My friend Mike got married in May (to Holly) and they welcomed their cute little baby into the world in August.  They named him Dylan, he's such a little cutie!  I also got to Florida to see my friend Anna get married in October.  Me and Mary drove down there and stayed with my Aunt Patty for a long weekend.  It was really fun, I'm glad I got to go.

The last day of August I got to quit Comcast.  That was AWESOME!  I hated that job and I'm so thankful that I don't have to work there anymore.  Adam started a new job as a manager at Applebee's and said I could quit.  In the middle of September me and mom drove down to Dallas to surprise Ryan for a weekend.  He said it was the best surprise he's ever gotten...he almost pooped his pants when he saw us!  :oD  It was a fun weekend.

On October 7th I took a pregnancy test and it was positive.  I know I already wrote about that in a previous post, but WE ARE SO EXCITED!!  We get to find out what we are having next Tuesday...I CAN'T WAIT!!!

This new year has started out well.  I know it's only been just over a week but I'm excited.  There are a lot of things to look forward to this year and I'm ready for a year full of ups and not so many downs.  :oD  Happy New Year!
