I didn't realize that my last update was from July 2, 2014...I knew it had been a while, but not THAT long! Anyway, I'll start where I left off. The pain I was having in my right thigh ended up being a stress fracture in my femur just above my knee. I was told to stop running and that the likelihood of me finishing the full marathon in October was pretty slim. I wasn't supposed to run for at least 6 weeks! That put me into September and with the race being October 19, that didn't give me enough time to train for a full. I decided to do the half again since I knew what to expect. It cost me an arm and a leg to change from the full to the half but I was determined to run in the Detroit Marathon again. In September I started running but I was doing shorter distances. Mostly 2 and 3 milers if I remember correctly. Before race day I only did 3 semi longish runs: two 6 milers and one 8 mile run. My goal for the Detroit International Half Marathon was to just finish it, even if I had to walk some of it. I was secretly hoping that I would beat my 2013 time but I knew that wasn't likely because of my lack of training from my injury. I ended up running the whole race and I was only six minutes slower than my 2013 time! I finished in 2:20:29 (my 2013 time was 2:14:36)!

Adam graduated from the police academy in mid July. He had the third highest grade in his class with a 98.66%!!! Proud wifey face right here. :oD He was sworn in at his department at the end of July and jumped right into his field training. In December he completed his training and officially became a police officer.
At the end of August we decided to start trying for baby number 2. We found out I was pregnant the day I was flying home to Michigan for the half marathon, October 16. I was 3 weeks and 6 days pregnant! Little baby love nugget 2 is due June 26, 2015 and it's another girl! A1 is going to have a little sister! Baby doesn't have a name yet so my sister has dubbed her "Googlie Goo". Totally cute since Maureen gave A1 the nickname "Gormikins" when I was pregnant with her. I've been running a few times a week but not nearly as much as I'd hoped. I can only do shorter distances right now but at least it's something!
This was our "It's a girl!" announcement!
